This is a very nice looking cantilever umbrella. It has a thicker than average material. The pole and mechanisms seem very durable. Assembly wasn’t too bad. This unit does not include a base so you will need to purchase a cantilever base separately. This umbrella does fine in a light wind however I live in an area with frequent high wind gusts so I do not have umbrella extended during those times to try to extend its life.
Umbrella has great coverage and is easy to assemble and use. However, if there is the slightest gust of wind the umbrella will sway and move all over the place. I have a very heavy sandbag on the base so the bottom is not shifting (although on a very windy day, it has) but the top portion will move left, right, up, and down. After owning this from May 2020 to March 2024 it finally gave out and the top plastic portion snapped. Mind you, I live in the northeast so I only get about 2 seasons' wort…
Easy to assemble. Well made and sturdy. Easy to use. Very heavy and easy to fall over if you don't have the correct weight at the base.
The umbrella is very sturdy and well made. The only con is that it doesn't come with a base. This is off putting since this umbrella was originally listed at $450. I see that the listing is now not available and they are now going for about $100 less. While I do like the features and that the pole is to the side. It's easy to open and close. I just think the price is a bit steep for an umbrella without a base.
This is perfect out on the back patio so that the adults can hang out in the shade while the kids are in the pool. It was simple enough to set up with two people and does an excellent job of keeping the sun off. It is VERY large and kept me from burning when I forgot to put on my own sunblock!
In the early afternoon, when the sun is high in the sky and unobstructed by any trees, it can be a bit much to sit out in the backyard. Those little café umbrellas? It is very very big, but also sturdy and can be easily folded and put away. We used ours during the hot months of summer around our pool area since we have no shade there. Keep in mind you do need to buy a base separately and it needs to be x- shaped and able to hold a certain weight, which wasn’t the easiest to find. But quality has been great so far!
I love that this umbrella post is free-standing, and doesn't have to be in the middle of the table! It provides great shade, wasn't too difficult to assemble, and does the trick for providing some needed shade in the summer heat.
We are very happy with the quality of this umbrella! It is very sturdy and well made. Excellent quality! Also easy to open and close. Provides the perfect amount of shade on our deck and looks great! Highly recommend!!
